I have 70+ hours (for me thats a lot!) logged and while I don't have much time for games between work and life but I try to make time to play this at least once a night. There are 42 potions in Slay the Spire for you to choose from. I was a playtester for a number of Fantasy Flight Games card games and I was a big fan of Netrunner so when I heard about this game's designers being big Netrunner fans I had to check it out. Also I'm stoked for the new character (Whats it take to get on Mega Crits QA team? :D)Īnyways I recently managed to convince my girlfriend to try something new.

I honestly couldn't have found a better way to introduce her to both the fundamentals of card games and the rogue-like experience.

She insisted on using the Senshi mod and we dove into a standard run. It was of course short lived but she really liked it. We then did a custom run where I started her off with a Sealed Deck, Specialized, Heirloom, Time Dilation and Flight. She had a great time and while our run ended on the second act boss (Bronze Automation) it was really a win overall. FTL, Slay the Spire, Risk of Rain and Hades are all rogue lites, but. I let her know that dying is no big deal and she still gets progress to unlock more cards/relics. with nourished the seed-grain, to the mined wealth of gold, silver and other. In retrospect I probably should have had her play the Ironclad and I think thats what we'll do when she plays again since the Senshi mod is a little confusing (probably due to character limit on cards?) but overall its a great mod and I'm glad we played it. Now with that said.I'd like to know if anyone has any 'easy' or overall fun seeds that they would like to share with me to have her try it. While I really enjoy the challenge that the game offers I would really like for my girlfriend to see some of the crazy and fun engine building/combo interactions without needing to play as much as I have. I don't have a way to upload the photos at the moment but this seed was really fun for defect: 18JY7ZHXFVFHH (on Switch, not sure if seeds are different by platform). Not upgraded: 2x all for one, 1 scrape, 1 defend, 2x claw, 1x hologram The only thing missing I'd say is a madness to create an infinite loop with the second all for one, but honestly the deck did not need to go infinite to dominate.Įdit- here's the ending decklist and relics: The deck came together with powerful relics and a powers + claw /all for one build by the end of act 1 and proceeded to crush the rest of the acts.
